Hey guys, the new cactus season is upon us and there'll be more flower videos coming soon! Here's a VERY interesting first flower! One of the most rewarding parts of the cactus hobby is when you can finally see the flowers of something you've grown from seeds. This one here is a Uwe Kahle hybrid from the cross KA.2017.005. Looking forward seeing it in the morning!

I started reading comic books again. Kinda trying to relearn how to relax and get back my focus! Had incredible concentration problems from Lyme disease, and I gotta force myself to always sit down and read on a daily basis. Doing it at least once a day. I got me a little stack of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN comics and they'll keep me busy for a while. Missing a lot of issues in between, so I'm not sure if the story will make sense, but I'll give it a try!
Trichocereus validus! There's this tree in my greenhouse. Lol.

Kami felt betrayed when she finally saw the type of motorboat she received as a gift.

Bon Nuitté!

Such an amazing flower! Wish I lived close so I could procure a cactus!

My husband isn't on imgur but I am so excited to show him more of your posts, he LOVES cacti. We just propagated our very first prickly pear here in the PNW! How do you tell if it's budding a flower or a new paddle?

Thank you very much! 😊 With a bit of experience you can spot the difference very reliably. Flower buds are often a bit hairy and usually emerge from their typical areoles. New shoots and little pups aren't so hairy, but you still need to grow them out sometimes to be sure.
