Can anyone recommend an SMS notification batcher for Android?

I love my niece dearly. She's in another country with no other family besides her mom and siblings (nasty divorce, dick father) so I feel it's really important to have good dialogue with her and her siblings.

I'm so glad to have a way to communicate with her at last besides snail mail that takes 2 weeks to get to her...but I'm antisocial and get irate over constant phone beeps, especially when they wake me from naps (8 mos pregnant).

Desperate for compromise.

Her mother won't let her have email yet, because the dad is a manipulative ass-wipe.

Looking for a phone app that lets me batch SMS notifications or similar suggestions. Often, she's sending pictures, so it's not just a matter of talking etiquette.
