Around the time the SCP Foundation website started gaining popularity there was another, similarly community content website that talked about the location of strange artifacts and the methods/rituals required to obtain them.

I'm pretty sure it was called The Keepers or something like that but all Google turns up is the unrelated Netflix series.

For context that may help jog someone's memory, I'll write something similar to what you would find on the site:

On an even-numbered day during an odd-numbered year during the month of August, go to any town or city that has a road called Cedar Street. The closer to the equator you are the higher your chance of success will be. Bring chalk.

While at this location, travel by foot in one direction for one mile and you may find a small, red brick building with a faded sign labeling the location as a tax service building. Beneath the sign will be a door. If it is locked, someone has already entered and you will have to wait for another year. Do not wait outside for anyone to exit, you will not find what you seek.

If the door is unlocked, open and enter the door. You will enter a room larger and longer than the building should be. For your sake do not dwell on this fact, the building doesn't like those who question it.

Inside the building will be a long corridor with many identical hallways branching off of it. Search for a hallway with red carpet and go down it until you reach another door. Enter the door and you will find yourself in a brightly lit room with white walls, ceiling, and floor and another door opposite the one you entered. Stand beneath the light in the center and look down.

If you see your shadow, go back the way you came in. You may try again next year.

If you have no shadow, you may proceed through the door ahead.

If you have more than one shadow, run back the way you came and never return.

In the next room, you will find several hooks on the walls, one will hold your shadow. Leave your shadow where it is and make note of which hook it's on. The hallway at the end of the room opens to a large maze. Proceed through the maze, making sure to mark the correct path with the chalk you brought. Take your time but do not rest for long, the building doesn't like loiterers.

At the end of the maze you will find an open door leading to an empty room. Close it and open it again until a pedestal appears in the center of the room. Enter the room with the pedestal.

On the pedestal you'll find the Horse Figurine artifact.

As soon as you grab the Horse Figurine you will have to run back the way you came as the wall at the end of the room will begin to swallow the space you will be leaving behind. Do not touch the wall.

Upon reaching the hook room, every hook will have a shadow hung from it. Take your shadow and only your shadow or you won't be able to leave.

Make your way back to the entrance before the wall swallows you and leave the building, turn left and circle the block. Do not look back. If you see the building, continue circling the block in the same direction until you no longer see the building.

The Horse Figurine is now yours.

While the Horse Figurine is somewhere on your person, so long as you are walking or running you do not need to eat, drink, or sleep. The Horse Figurine will function for 1 year from the day you acquired it before returning to the building.

All the entries on the site were similar but I don't remember if the artifacts were described as doing anything. Either way, if anyone remembers this and knows which website it was, please let me know.
