Cat tax with an update on the surgery I was suppose to get

Not expecting anything, I just wanted to vent while I'm trying to navigate this mentally.

TLDR; Insurance denied coverage for a hysterectomy; appealed; still got denied. They don't believe me.

On Aug, 29th 2022, I was scheduled to get a hysterectomy due to the fact on a FtM transgender. I've been steadily over the past ten years on HRT, with top surgery and my tubes tide. With how things are today politically against me and the mentrual cycles still plaguing me, it was a perfect time for my insurance to cover everything for this final procedure.

When we went to the hospital (3 hours away by the way) on the 29th we get told by the hospital that my surgery has been cancelled. Which confused us because everything was green lit. They pulled the rug out from under me amd re reviewed the request and what was once fine now got declined.

I had everything set up with disablitiy n that all came crashing down, now I wasn't going to be paid for the missing days (it took a huge emotional toll) because of it, we've had to live very frugal.

We sent in an appeal with aa much edvidence of my existence: proof of the tests they claimed I never did, a letter from my top surgery surgeron I had from 2016, two general dpctors I see that have known my situation. And yet yesterday Oct 6th, I recieved another denial notice of my appeal.

They don't believe me, they don't think I'm real, they request amother two physicians to confirm I experience gender dysphoia because of my cycles. I dont have the time or money to see a fucking therapist, I am literally a decade of proof, but now they want me to prove it all again.

I feel bad for my partner, taking off work and couldn't get back to work quicker. Now were struggling to make ends meet. I'm losing my mind at work hqving to drive an hour an a half most days one way. I'm fqlling apart and now I have to choose to get the surgery done without insurance through assitance or forget about it and suffer until laws or medical debt here in the US is fixed.

Inaurance has always been a scam, and I'm barly hanging on. I'm sorry for taking up your feed, but thank you for listening.
