I remember seeing a Group B 4th Gen Celica T-boning a tree and absolutely folding in half from the impact. I have since been unsuccessful in finding the video again. Pretty sure the driver and possibly co-driver didn’t make it, which may be why I can’t find the footage.
The Toivonen crash in 86. Both died. Group B was really wild on many fronts, cars were too powerful, many blind sides on the tracks which caused not enough medical assistance in case of emergency.
