Malice from The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild. This malice has an almost pinkish-purple color in addition to the black. It cannot move and is mainly just harmful, swampy guck.
Malice from the first trailer for Breath of the Wild’s sequel. The color is distinctly more red. It can now move, but it’s still somewhat rounded off and blobby.
Malice from the second trailer for Breath of the Wild’s sequel. It has a much deeper red color. It branches off into thin, almost sharp looking wisps.
1: In Breath of the Wild, the blood moon is said to be the peak of Ganon’s power. The blood moon has a deep red color most similar to the sequel’s second trailer. It could be that the darkening/reddening of the malice is a sign of Ganon’s power growing beyond what it was even in Breath of the Wild. A similar thing could be said about the consistency of the malice. The wisps found in the sequel’s second trailer have a similar consistency to the malice that surrounded Hyrule Castle and made up Calamity Ganon in Breath of the Wild.
