Aggressively Slaps the eggs out of it, add vidalia onions and red potatoes... now it's a low country boil 🤤

I'm mainly seeing corn, sausage and shrimp, only a little bit of crab. The name seems wrong...

Crab boiled it. Like how the shrimp fried the rice.

I just ate breakfast but now I'm hungry again.

I wish I wasn't allergic

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll take one pound. Add the garlic, mushrooms, and sausage.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That looks more like 2-4 pounds of food?

Legit question, do you or do you not eat the tough tail ends? Seems like a lot of hassle to bite them off or otherwise remove before enjoying the meal.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are like handles. You don't eat them. For saucy dishes that are eaten with utensils, it makes sense to remove the tails before cooking- at the same time you remove the shells and legs. For things you eat with your fingers, it can save time to leave the tails on.

Aight, thanks for the clarification.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s a shrimp boil

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No thank you, I'm not into seafood that much. I like it in small amounts in other meals, not as a meal itself.

I’m making jambalaya tonight with chicken, shrimp, and andouille.

For anyone reading this in Houston, TX - do yourself a favor and hie thee to Chinatown for some Viet-Cajun crawfish.

I’m a Cajun boy and went do that after seeing the crawfish episode on Ugly Delicious. Definitely worth the visit.

Gotcha, I was hoping there was a specific recommendation that was not the ones I've tried already. Cheers.

I don't miss Houston summers but holy shit I miss Houston food. One of the best food scenes in the country; easily the best in the south.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I think we make fattest city in the US every once in a while and if you live here you understand why. Too much great food and too flipping hot in the summer to exercise except from 4-6 AM.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm not a fan of crab so the minimal amount is good for me. I love shrimp so that looks perfect! Gimme some red beans and rice and I'm in heaven!

As someone from MD (where this is a thing every other day for a few months per year for some people) there's a shit ton of crab underneath.

If you guys used real dishes, not disposable ones, you would find that food tastes better, and you would not be throwing away millions of tons of waste. Congrats on the food, looks awesome.
