Little bitches shouldn't be DM then.

I’m stuck with a mediocre DM who claimed to want heavy RP elements but allows no deviation from a narrow focused plot. Wargamer in disguise

#2 Sooo... Zorah Magdaros?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate DMs like that, put your ego in check and make the game fun. If not I'll just move on.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I identify with this post.

Wizard: Welp, guess it's time to break out them 13th level spells again and break the universe...Again

#1 Ah, Demigod, how you flopped. I miss GPG

7 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

Ahh, I did love that game for a couple weeks :D

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I only ever played Rook, and my catchphrase was "Hammer slam that mess." Loved it.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Got the Collectors edition, wasn't enough heroes to make it challenging unfortunately.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unclean Beast!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was always a fun LAN game

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

man i loved this game. i started as a rook player, but then i got real good with Oak

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sometimes I played not-Rook, but then I couldn't build a goddamn trebuchet on one shoulder and an archer tower on the other so

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The meme before the meme. Trebuchet master race.

#2 I wish Colossal Plus was still a thing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's a game where one person gets to make up everything. What is the emotional impact of a post like this? I don't see it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IF the DM is being an asshole, just walk away. If not, who cares?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This isn't good DMing in the slightest

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Again, signs of a bad DM.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Just another day in 40k

Most viral thx guys

I wonder if Cthulu would actually be less powerful in power armour. Its power is eldrich madness, not strength.

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

lol if there's something dangerous enough or able to piss it off enough the power armor is likely its way of telling you you're dying. XD

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's powered armor, doesn't say WHAT it's powered by if you catch my drift.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'd say, given his size, strength is still one of his strengths, and armour doesn't really affect it's madness powers, so it's still a buff.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

It's rather stupid as a concept, but so stupid it's mildly funny. Cthulhu's biggest strengths are immortality and controlling dreams.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Cthulhu is oddly non-mad in his influence: he specifically wants people to let him out. It's a very straightforward goal.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How to be a horrible DM, lesson 1.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That first picture is of Rook from Demigod and I loved that game. Sadly they just didn't have enough heroes to make it challenging.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

cthulhu in power armor, you say? bring it

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, good luck with that. Cthulhu kills 1d6 players/ round. He doesn't even have to roll to hit

Bard: I roll to seduce the mountain.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahh.. vengeful DMs wtih a "me vs the players" mentality. Sign of a bad DM / immature player.

7 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

Imgur D&D posts always seem to have this theme. Guys the GM is not meant to be an opposing force but a facilitator of fun.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It's good to get payback every so often. Teach them that they can't be rabid dogs. But nothing as insane as this tbh

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

You're a bad DM if you design monsters just to kill your players.

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Alternatively, you run your game differently from this GM. If his players enjoy it and he enjoys it, nothing "bad" about it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Hey, they literally asked for it. I have no mercy in that situation.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is a canon book for 1e designed jist for this purpose

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Should challenge your players though. No one wants to fight goblins kobolss and orcs all the way to 20.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not talking about challenging them. I'm talking about what this post is talking about, fucking them up because "DM said so"

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not even difficult. As the GM, you can just say a meteor hits and they die, with no save. The end. That's boring.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Behind your DM's screen every roll is a nat 20

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honest question: If you just roll to see if attacks are successive, does the power of your enemy really matter?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'd guess it would make them far more difficult to hit. And might increase the damage of their attacks. But yea, guessing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And beyond the numbers issue that the other guy mentioned, getting within attack range and surviving against such an enemy is also a problem

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah. The game has an armor system, an enemy with armor 15 for example requires you roll a 15 or higher on a 20 sided dice.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Characters get bonuses to their rolls based on their skill and strength etc. So you might get +5, now you would only need a 10 or higher.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So a powerful enemy may have 30 armor or even 40, and you can't even try to damage it until you are strong enough with a +10 or +20 bonus.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hope that helps you understand how the game works.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You've pissed off the DM: every spell you cast requires rolling on the Wild Magic chart. You blow off your dick.

7 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 1

Nah, if the DM and I aren't getting along, I'm just doing something else. My life is too good to spend it playing power games with a child.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Due to some players not showing up, i had the Goblin tagalong sprout sorcerer powers with wild magic. Almost got them all killed. Twice.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have an idea for a wizard with night terrors who accidentally throws random spells (some way above his level) in his sleep. Can't wait 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

to throw that at my players to solve. I don't even know yet how it CAN be solved. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Years of therapy. Or a metronome. Worked on me. A magic metronome!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Paralyze him while sleeping and gag him too and you should be good

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My biggest worry is keeping the party from just killing him. Probably I'll make him the quest-giver.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make him unkillabe . The most powerful unholy unlikable being. And it just like annoying your party

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nah. Nah m8... what you need is this: http://www.traykon.com/pdf/The_Net_Libram_of_Random_Magical_Effects.pdf

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Holy shit... I need a wild magic sorc yesterday

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The wizard drank a mysterious potion for a dare, and I've been struggling to decide on an effect. This will do nicely, thank you!
