Deep in the mountains of Kyushu (Japan), there lives a troll-like creature. The Yama-Warawa is described as resembling a 10-year old boy, but covered in fur (this is absent in some depictions, like the image I chose) and with one singular eye in its forehead. Their ears are pointy. As far as I can tell, The Yama-Warawa are not considered evil or dangerous. They particularly love the taste of roasted crab and are capable of speaking human language (presumably Japanese).
