I've interviewed dozens of people for just basic front end development and it's amazing what they'll lie about. Often can't even do CSS.

Hiring managers have come to me in for the technical interviews and I rarely recommend the candidates that knows all the languages.

I've never actually seen a candidate that actually knows all the languages they say on their resume. It's all lip service.

I prefer the ones that will say I know this one and some of this other language. Developing is more a way of thinking then anything else.

The problem is the industry rewards the liars. I'm honest on my resume so I get overlooked in favor of ballsier candidates willing to lie.
