I needed to upload this album so I could use the videos for promo stuff, so I decided to share my achievement with this community. You can follow the link above to be notified when the Kickstarter launches if your into that type of thing.

The two purple ones was the coolest, the first one reminded me of dice soap.

They look cool but do they contain mercury and/or accelerate to dangerous speeds?

My smart ass was like. “Actually ‘die’ is the singular for dice...” never mind you have made more than one.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it street legal, tho?

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

@op expected price per die? I only need like 2 of them.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

PLEASE LET THIS BE LEGIT AND THAT THEYRE BALANCED AND LEGIT BECAUSE I MUST HAVE THEM.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Wait fuck take all my money

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now these are pretty neat, but do you actually make them, or buy them for cheap on the internet and re-sell them?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I make them. I have resin, pressure pot, the works.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately I don’t play dnd but damn it I would buy these and roll them just to look at them!! Awesome job!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you planning on making an whole set D4-D20? Those are truly damn gorgeus!

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna try, a lot less room to work with.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's always the option to use larger models. They're already novelty dice, I think people would be fine with them being ~20% bigger.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The purple and green one looks spooky!

Pretty sure this is just a Gusher with numbers printed on them.

5 years ago | Likes 323 Dislikes 0

Extra chewy

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mmm... D20 gushers

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You can hardly taste the resin.

5 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

The Forbidden Gusher.

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

A show piece only? A dice has one job and these don't accomplish it.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

I hand make my dice too! It’s a d6 and every side is a 20

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very cool. But certainly take the feedback around filming an awesome roll. You’ll have a big win if you capture it.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

These look awesome, @op. Do want.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I dont even play dnd and i think this is cool

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I agree. Would be a great effect for like a Harry Potter board game or something too

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@OP

@OP put some up on etsy and I'll buy them today

Those are nice Icosahedron

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

You will be having possession of my money shortly

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I love these and can't wait to see the kickstarter go live!! I'm excited!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These look seriously cool. How did you achieve the swirling effect?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I'm thinking possibly glycerin with a little bit of mica powder.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fill the hollow dice with some kind of sparkly fluid...?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The dice is hollow, but it looks like there's a sphere inside them, and that's where the sparkly fluid is contained in

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's really cool. Does it affect the balance at all?

5 years ago | Likes 242 Dislikes 6

The link says: "Handmade artisan d20's with animated visual effects." Animated? How? Anything inside, like batteries, will have to be 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

mounted. That will make 1 side heavier. I need to know more. Pretty cool looking dice though!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

100% guaranteed

5 years ago | Likes 156 Dislikes 2

You probably can't reliably roll it on a surface & get random results. If you use a tower or shaking device, it's probably fine.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

With say a dice tower it should be fair even with the weird behaviour of the fluid part

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Obviously, They keep coming up with the same number. Very suspicious!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Doesn't matter if you use a dice tower.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How is a tower any less biased than a hand roll?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Strikes multiple layers before final roll. You can't just drop it and hope for no bouncing; it /will/ roll around when dropped.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not even loaded dice are guaranteed with a dice tower; it's the surest way to ensure an honest roll.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(Assuming loaded by weight, not loaded with marked sides)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It may not affect the true probability - since the fluid wouldn’t care which face shows up - but the way the die moves sure looks different.

5 years ago | Likes 127 Dislikes 1

issue right here though. making hollow dice it is VERY easy to... "Acidently" make one edge thicker... wink wink..

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Sides of the dice may be thinner than others, what does a liquid and air combination have on an object in regards to momentum? Does it favor

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Depends, if the dice is 3d printed, it should be relative even, though it might get a bit thinner from polishing it smooth.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/2 the liquid won't make it any less fair despite it rolling funky .

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What he is saying is the liquid won't affect it though, obviously imperfections in the die will like any die. But given no imperfections 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

a lighter or heavier side? Is there absolutely 0 air inside? I feel these are more likely to be skewed dice.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Hey! So that random hocus pocus stuff people do with "Good" and "Bad" dice might actually matter instead of just being annoying. Neat!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You can get dice made too very high precision, (to the point they cut the corners off the d4 otherwise it makes a very nice caltrop). 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well that first one comes up 16 every time, so...

I was once in a group that had the worst DM ever. so next session i used a mix of slight of hand and loaded dice to ruin his game.

Loaded dice are weighted so that the most favorable side lands face up most often. These are weighted, yes, but not unfairly.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 5

Idk man. That orange one have rolled a suspicious amount of 20's in a row.

5 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Cheesy af, still made me laugh

It will slow the roll down. Make it bounce less.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Whoa whoa slow your roll homie

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It was a joke homeskillet

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I prefer the term 'home frying pan' thanks.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lol nice

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't like the way those roll. Seems very unsatisfying.

5 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 3

Yeah,I heard that if you have to sharp edge on the dice I stops faster and it's much easier to manipulate the outcome.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Eh, Gamescience is supposedly one of the reliable dice and they're sharp as hell.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it is a very cool design!

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Casinos use dice with very sharp edges, so i am guessing it isnt true that a sharp edge is easier to manipulate.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Wouldn’t casino’s be very interested in manipulating their dice?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they make their money on payouts and odds not matching up. Meaning that in the long run the house always wins.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea I guess there’s no reason to cheat when human psychology is so unhinged lol.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They roll normally, I have to roll them a specific way to get them to land in my camera frame.

5 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 3

I actually kinds wish they WOULD roll a very short distance. Still random, but at least you won't launch it or knock over board pieces.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was wondering how they all landed perfectly center!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If I saw dice rolling like that on a kickstarter, I'd close the tab without reading another word.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Roll em into a corner

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Have you tried filming further away with a higher res camera then cropping? People that buy dice want to see a good roll.

5 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

Lighting issues, camera focus and tracking issues. I have a 4k camera with a macro lens.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Are you at least taking other further away shots showing a normal roll? The dice are beautiful but D&D is no fun w inconsistent die.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah, if you ever find a d&d sesh with consistent die lemme know, lol

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm getting friends together to put some rolls in and create real data. They seem fair to me and ive rolled them A LOT for these types 1/

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I mean, you want an inconsistent die...
