Do I need to replace my EX-30 expansion tank?

Dec 24, 2024 6:56 PM

This is a follow up to my previous post. I was able to stabilize the pressure gauge to 15-20psi. And hot water was flowing again. But afterwards, I decided to check the expansion tank for its psi and water squirted out when doing so. Even though my pressure gauge is stabilized, does this really mean that the pressure is actually not since the supposed bladder is ruptured?

Several years ago I had an expansion tank that had over a gallon of water in it. They had to replace it if course

Yes, the bladder has burst.

That's usually the sign of a broken bladder. If you have an overflow tank not the end of the earth, but should replace it. Not hard.
