Do you think that police ever question why they want to look and act like an invading army?

The cringe is so strong with this, like this is somehow beating peak alpha male cringe levels.

(Likely to get disliked) They don't want the Ready or Not players or anyone from SWAT because those games penalize you for excessive force or shooting of civilians.

this has to be a parody... right?

Can someone please forward this to EA (another actual devil) and have them sue for IP theft. Seems like it would be right up their alley.

Just a fun fact about the militarization of police here in the US. https://www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org/2022/03/17/revealed-adl-us-israel-police-exchanges/#:~:text=Since%20the%20early%202000s%2C%20thousands,Israeli%20military%20and%20police%20forces.

That's not fun. That's not fun at all.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Huh, went to check and yes- this may be an infringement on the Black Ops 4 Trademark. Though using the phrase "Call of Duty" might not be enforceable in this sense, the fact that the positioning, proportions, and font used for the words are exactly the same as CoD:BLOPS4 should cross that line.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sent an email cussing them out

Imagine being a person seeing a picture of a gun pointed at you and being like “fuck yeah”

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fine print: "We should mention that it is not really like Call of Duty, because we're hella scared of other people with guns, so you're mainly just going to be beating down and shooting people who are no threat to you. Winkyface."

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

ffs do they know what their job actually is? I know the answer already

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even if this was an ad for SWAT specifically, I know the guys on SWAT would want this removed immediately. The last thing they want is a bunch of sweaty COD players clogging up their tryouts.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably hear more n-bombs in their station's lobby than in a 2009 COD lobby.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Come on MS, you spent $70b for CoD, time to go to work.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because that's what a police department needs - a bunch of asshat CoD players with actual guns.

2 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 0

'cause they fight with all the other asshat CoD players that already work there?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s basically what it already is

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Now they can scream racial slurs and teabag for a job!

US COPS have not been about protecting the public since the Security Pacific Bank in Norco, California robbery.

My Marine Corp friend didn't wear half this much crap when he was on patrol in Fallujah.

This smells strongly of Uvalde energy.

It's actually a lust for having action in their life.

I believe it was the supreme court that said cops didn't have to serve or protect people.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe that is the current situation in the US. At the same time they do serve and protect; they serve special interests and protect people in power. They just don't, and don't have to, serve or protect the common citizens. It's the difference between getting fired or having an "accident" and being put on paid administrative leave for 2 months during an "investigation" before possibly being resigned and allowed to find work at another department in 1-6 months in terms of respective failure

I thought this was an ad for a bad B Movie. Jesus christ, what the fuck

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is definitely trademark infringement...right? Like, this definitely doesn't actually qualify as parody since it's a fucking advertisement?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

definitely trademark at the very least since they're using the Call of Duty font. Not copyright in this context though.

EA doesn't make Call of Duty. They make Battlefield. Call of Duty is Treyarch, which is owned by Activision...which is now owned by Microsoft.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anf of course one of them is a pudgy sack of mayo

2 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

Well they have to appeal to their target audience.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hahaha "one" haha gotta bump those numbers up

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Second guy isn't exactly "athletically built" either.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Can't see more than the hand for Mr 3, so I am going to assume he is less photogenic than the guys presented.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s my favorite part. They didn’t even bother with using the trim buff dudes in the front. They’re like, “we’ll take the couch potato Meal-Team-6 folks too!”

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

The graphic designer might not be a big fan of the police and hid the one trim dude in the back.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly you would be surprised at how fit some dudes who look like that can be.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definitely signing these emails up for.... things.

I'm getting real "gravy seals" energy from everything in this picture. I guarantee these fat hogs were definitely rooting for the rioters on Jan 6th.

Don't say that too loudly. Gay horse porn is right up Clarence Thomas's alley.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

And he's a fan of it too

Rude to call his wife a horse. Pretty sure she's just a jack-ass.

I'm about an hour northwest of Peoria and I'm kinda surprised this is so restrained. Around here the term "sundown town" still gets used seriously.

2 years ago | Likes 188 Dislikes 1

I regret finding out what that word meant from "Lovecraft country" feels like something I should have known before my 30's

I mean Pekin is right across the river. At least they changed their highschool mascot

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

What, you think the Pekin Chink wasn't a good choice anymore? Lol

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The town of Minden Nevada still has a siren that goes off just before sundown - of course they claim it's their "cultural heritage".

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Im still shocked to hear the term let alone it being something people enact.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yhea. I lived in and around Chicago for over 30 years. I'm two whole hours south of it now and I swear people would welcome slave ships docked on the river.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I live in Wichita KS, you don't have to go far in any direction to run into someone that still thinks it's ok to drop the N word.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It does? I was at Bradley for 5.5 years.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bradley is still a bit closer to the city, and the Bears hold annual camp near there. Come further east near starved rock, look at any of these towns with less than 1000 people and you get the idea.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah fair. I've been to Starved Rock but only the marina when my family was into boating, do I don't have /that/ much experience with areas around Peoria.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy fuck

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Had to google what that meant... that's fucked up.

2 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

Wait till you hear about "black ice" : https://youtu.be/efiW2K8gASM

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah a coworker had to explain it to me when she got a flat tire driving through Vidor Texas.

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

What does it mean?

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

All white town. They jail, beat the shit out of, or straight up kill nonwhite people still in town after sundown

2 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

As a non-white person, fuck that noise!!!

2 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

As a white person, yes, fuck that noise. Fuck this whole state. I'm in a blue county, but I still see people with things like Punisher stickers with the American flag pattern on vehicles of people who can't figure out how to hand a teller their card.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It’s a product of the past that still persists in some places mostly throughout the south. Same thing with being gay as well. I remember driving through Texas with my husband and our route happened to go straight through my old stomping grounds when I was a kid. Made a comment about maybe stopping and checking it out, thought about it for a minute and legitimately, a sense of dread and panic filled me as I remembered the people and told him “yeah let’s actually not”

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Ok so like the white daylight from the sun meaning White peoplHOLY FUCKIN SHIT!

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

No, daylight as in that's the time of day PoC are allowed in the town. They can't stay at a hotel, house, etc and have to be gone by sundown. Google you'll see the signs they post to tell them to leave by sundown
