#16 Wilderness survival tip. Cattails are edible, just it's the root not the top bit. Apparently they're quite stringy and starchy, if you cook them (basically they cook up in the same ways as potatoes) they're a bit like mashed potatoes or poi.

i thought it was the roots that were dried and milled like flour. I know there's like 4 foods you can make from cattails, depending on the time of year, but it's been a while

I imagine you can do that too, as the rhizomes tend to be starchy. Have to be smart about which species, however. Some can be toxic from what they absorb in their environment.

I'm doing an Okami playthrough right now. I do dailies on FFXIV, and maybe class stories down the road. (I'm hesitant to stream the new DLC...) Some random video games to just relax to. I streamed Lego Star Wars last night. I would say RPG, JRPG, MMO would be my main content. Probably Survival too.

He definitely had an age-specific shelf life, however, he appeared recently on Last One Laughing (LOL) Canada on Amazon and was actually fairly good in a more toned down way, especially compared to some of the cringier comedians on there. I'd highly recommend, even just for Colin Mochrie also being on there.
