The blue particles are attracted to each other via bonding forces. Their default state is a circular blob. The four red particles exert inverse-square repulsive forces on the blue particles. The strength of the repulsive force oscillates sinusoidally between zero and a maximum value. This results in a periodic "squeezing" effect on the blue particle blob.

Neat. Does the equilibrium circle have the same density throught? With your four repellers, the center is denser than the oscillating part.

Thanks. In the equilibrium state, the particles are denser near the center. It acts as a compressible fluid that way
