The design uses some elements from Matthias Wandel's Air Engine.
The square bore cylinder is 3 inches on a side. The valve section allows a double acting cylinder.
The crankshaft is 1/2" oak. The flywheel will be something like 9".
The crank assembly will need to be balanced against the weight of the piston and valve. Air pushing the piston up should do the same work as when it pushes down.
