relaxing

I hate that my phone makes the water sound off somehow. Too loud, almost tinny. I’m sure it’s goregeous IRL though.
I’m jelly that I’m in Amsterdam…

Why the filters? If you want to showcase the actual beauty of this place (and it IS beautiful), just show it like it really is. All these oversaturated colors make it look extremely weird.

Extreme filters like this one don't make me relax at all

I've walked that path. IIRC that's the trail between Meiringen and Grindelwald

And what was Grindelwalds crime?

Being too hot in September! Even starting the walk at 6am I got boiled heading down into Grindelwald.

Switzerland is such a profound place. You don't need the filter.

I knew it was Switzerland before the gif started

My wife and I went for our honeymoon. We stayed at lake Lucerne. I rented a convertible and we drove through the mountains. Most amazing trip.

People have become so accustomed to over-the-top entertainment that they've been completely desensitized to anything not flamboyantly spectacular. Absolutely everything has to tickle every sense at all times and it's just so tiring...

TL,DR: Slaanesh practically runs the internet.

**some people. **people in general. **people who need to touch grass. **people who are on the internet perpetually.

So many ways to phrase that so that it isn't an absolute. I'm not desensitized to reality. Sounds like you aren't. There are plenty of us - way more than dozens!

Better check first if there is an unstable glacier on any of the flanks of them beautiful mountains.

gorgeous!

FYI: the milkiness of the water indicates a high amount of glacial run-off full of rock fragments, DO NOT drink, it'll lacerate your stomach

Or... you can put it in a cup, wait till the sediments set, and drink carefully.

a) the important word here is carefully b) it takes over 7 hours for silt-sized particles to drop 10cm through water at 10C; you'll wait a long time for truly safe water.

Patience is a virtue, my friend.

Dehydration is not.

Yeah, beautiful video, but jesus the color filtering is working overtime.

I took a train from Paris to Switzerland last fall. It honestly looks like this.

The water being so opaque makes this look AI generated.

Ever been to a mountain valley? Unless the weather has been stormy recently you'll see the clearest and bluest water you ever have. There being said this has an obnoxious filter over it.

It's glacial meltwater, so it carries a fair amount of rock particles in it, which gives it that cloudiness. https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_flour

Oh, yes, I didn't even notice. :) I guess Google thought that one was appropriate to me for some reason...
