Pretty excited about this whole thing.

Super light transparent black created sexy shadows

Got cropped dots created with clumps if copper metallic- this didn’t get super glassy because I couldn’t leave well enough alone. It will get a wood edge and a thin topcoat so I don’t worry.

Every shade of white I could find!

Man, been around my kids too long. All I can see is spilled milk.

You wouldn’t be wrong! Spilled milk over gold was definitely in the inspiration brief!

It’s the heat that pops the bubbles- not the flame. You were holding it wayyyyyyy to close man.

Yep! flame has heat! Mostly the torch wouldn’t stay lit and I needed to move faster than I was relighting the torch every 3seconds. ?

Hair dryer works better than a torch.

?It also blows dust around a site risking floaters and is typically corded requiring more fiddling. + you need to have a hairdryer! ;-)

Helps with the bubbles

It did! The torch didn’t like being upside down so came up with this method. There were concerns but the epoxy is perfect.

We tested it on a bar top I built. Flames caused the wood to emit gas & bubble the epoxy. A heat gun caused no issues. So there are options!

Oh wow! I didn’t have a heat gun, or the bubbles coming out of the wood- maybe I just popped them all because this was super fun!

Oh man was it ever! And it makes such a fantastic finish really bringing out the grain of the wood!
