Doing our bit, although he's too thick skinned for it to bother him I fear.

DuxNautarum
So you're saying I should visit this pub while I'm in London. Got it.
SoulfireUK
Love it.
angelyric
My day is always made just a little bit brighter any time JD Vance eats shit
OutboardOverlord
Fuck this piece of toxic human waste in particular.
KipperFillets
I wonder how many of the protests he saw. Would be gratifying to say it to his face.
FlintNorth44
MUTINY...that's an interesting word...
KipperFillets
Even the best press sensationalise headlines. Lucky it wasn't The Sun, they'd have shoehorned a smutty pun in there too.
"Vance's Whopper Knocker Reject Horror" or something.
FlintNorth44
I just think it's an INTERESTING word...
truthputer
Someone should also have printed out Vance's comments about trump, from before Vance was selected for VP.
Sebastopol140
Great!!! Good job, guys.
KipperFillets
They may have just been worried about getting stains out of their soft furnishings. Either way works for me.
OctopusStinkhorn
Resistance takes all forms
philmoregraves
Employer may not give them a raise or bonus but can we get a gofundme to tip them or something?
AbelardSnazz
Expect a 150% tariff on pork scratchings and pickled eggs
Willk95
Just like the people in Vermont who booed him off the ski resort. Makes me proud to be a New Englander
Schlitz
"Sorry, Mr Couch, we have a strict NO CU^TS policy!"
azazyel
what's the name of the pub, I want to see if they sell tshirts
azazyel
Found it, it's a fancy place so it just sells knives and soaps and stuff https://thebullcharlbury.com/
unfortunatelynotdeadyet
It’s called The Bull. Just checked. They don’t sell merch. Not yet anyway. This might change things
SteveForTheDeaf
The Bull is nice. I've ben there a couple of times.
KipperFillets
Country pubs in nice areas usually are. Can't say I've been to a bad one. I may have to add this to my list.
Spanky93
His face looks like a hairy ass
Zetor
See. Together apes strong!

In the future, remove everything in your link from the question mark on. It's just tracking data.
KipperFillets
Will do. Thanks.
FoamingToad
For information, Firefox has 'Copy clean link' which removes all the bullshit tracking IDs.
KipperFillets
I'm on mobile aop, but will clean it up in future.
Just rushed to post I suppose.
jon5465
Pub of the year material right here.

Link without the trackers (anything after the "?" in the link is useless and track you) https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/jd-vance-turned-away-from-cotswolds-pub-following-staff-mutiny-396763/
AbelardSnazz
Apparently Kamala Harris had a lovely meal there
MyCommentsUsuallyHaveTypos
If this is real, as a US Citizen and Ohioan (Fat Chance is from Ohio), I nominate this pub.
philmoregraves
Ohian as well (be careful talking about this place. Its not supposed to be real) I agree
HandoB4Javert
...let's get John Oliver on it...
HandoB4Javert

Why is the press using the term 'mutiny'? The staff withheld their labour. Using 'mutiny' is reserved for armed forces isn't it?
KipperFillets
Any type of rebellion against authority can be called this. I suppose it best fits military situations but needn't be.
You never know, the pub could be very strictly run :-/
Bobby360
Go UK
Freak0zoid
Okay, good
WGAFWAFcd
All of them are too thick skinned. They have no shame or guilt. They know there will be no consequences.

This Country.
cbcd
Isn't Clarkson's farm and pub also in the Cotswolds?
KipperFillets
Yup, smack bang in the middle. Not been there, seems everyone goes just to see "him".
phuzz00
Lots of celebs have houes in the Cotswolds. My brother's father-in-law used to MoT Nick Mason's (Pink Floyd) Ferrari F40.
solrev
Note to self. Visit this pub.
KipperFillets
It's certainly not bad pub-licity.
SilverDust133
Dad?
solrev
Wow, excellent pun
EverNotRelevant
I dunno, it sounds like the management/owners are A-OK with Vance.
NaughtyGod1
This was only ever a financial decision for them.
4etherling
Management/owners are about money and publicity. It says nothing about their political affiliation.
EverNotRelevant
Neutrality (only caring about money/publicity) in the face of fascism is aligning with fascism.
4etherling
No it's not. There are plenty of people who use money they make to achieve their political goals. In fact one of the best ways to fight fascism is to use a fascists money to do it.
EverNotRelevant
1. Yes, it is. I'm not going to argue that. 2. There is no reason to believe management/owners had any intention of fighting fascism.
IceWeaselX
Maybe they can be trained to realize it's better for business to reverse that mindset.
"We got in the news for snubbing Vance and suddenly our revenue spiked. Wow!"
EverNotRelevant
Somehow I don't think getting MORE money will make them less conservative.
BrdCdn
This.
Seanspeed
Surprised honestly. Cotswolds isn't exactly the most liberal of areas. Mostly lots of older rich people. They've voted consistently conservative for decades.
phuzz00
While North Cotswolds is still held by the tories (with a much reduced margin), South Cotswolds (where Charlbury is) was taken by the Lib Dems last year. Don't forget that those rich people need plenty of normal people to pour their pints, clean their houses etc. etc. Plus the tories haven't been good for farmers, so they've lost a big chunk of that demographic too. It's getting better there, thank fuck
Seanspeed
No shit? Good info man, thanks for the correction. Makes me marginally hopeful. lol
phuzz00
I grew up round there, and some of my family still live up that way, so I keep a close eye on it ;)
