Rub some gallium on the frame with steel wool. It activates the self healing properties in the metal.

Speed holes.

Fun-fact that probably any non-retarded person already could have guessed. Bullet-proof vehicles have armored plating added below the panels, or if it is a military vehicle designed to survive gunfire, has THICK heavy plating all along the outside.

Even the fuckin pope-mobile which is designed to survive pretty much anything up to an RPG, has a fucking bulldozer-tier engine inside of it, because the vehicle is so goddamn heavy.

I drive an EUV and for some reason there are no bullet holes in the back of it. Especially not ones I put there myself.

Suspiciously specific comment. I mean what you are saying is almost certainly literally true. But this is Imgur…

I have no idea what you're implying but if you hear any noises coming from behind the lift gate it's definitely not a dead body.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Works for me! Have a good day citizen!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I get the shooting the truck. I don't get the being upset by it. Shoot it some more.

Are you saying that you wouldn't be upset if, after your first shot, the tesla didn't explode immediately?

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I suggest he use incendiary rounds next time.

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I see it as an improvement.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What did he think would happen?

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I think he thought the video would go viral either way.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very fitting of him to just drop a loaded handgun on the ground like that

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm surprised the entire vehicle didn't explode.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Just wait

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He shot his car, it is going to make a dent whether it goes through or not.

I promise this man has a concealed carry. Strokes to being a good guy with a gun. Has no idea the physics of ballistics. Will fire without considering the backdrop of his target, or the safety of others.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even proper tank armor isn't completely unaffected by getting hit. It's all about being able to take enough hits to destroy the guy hitting you.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Right? I’m really confused on how he thought this was gonna go? Like, ricochet off and hit him or someone else? Is that better?!?!

2 months ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 1

Yes

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be fair, if it had bounced off and hit him, that would have been better.

2 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Problem is you are dealing fucktards that think 'bulletproof' means bullets will just spark off like Knightrider.

2 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

Remove that shitty ableist slur from your vocabulary. There are so many creative insults for these room-temperature IQ drooling failures without needing to add the suffix "t*rd".

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

I'd never use it for people with down syndrome, they are warm, capable and intelligent human beings. Unlike these fucktards.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Who said bulletproof?

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

He even said the windows were bulletproof

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

"He" who must not be named

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not just bulletproof. Nuclear explosion proof.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

What? No...? And people believed him?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Muskrat.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Elongated Muskrat

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My point exactly. Words are worthless coming from some people

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They’re stainless steel, right? I’m not even a gun person and I know that stainless steel isn’t going to stop a bullet. It’ll be deformed at best.

2 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Muskrat claims they are bullet proof. I believe several gun tubers have tested that claim and proven the door will stop a 9mm handgun round. It will not however stop larger faster moving rifle rounds.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Depends on the thickness of the steel and the size of the bullet.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but the stuff on the cyber truck is thinner than a tin can. Any redneck who would even consider this should be VERY familiar with what happens to cans shot off the fence

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean steel will stop a bullet, if you use the amount used on a tank

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It “may” stop some smaller calibers, there has been conflicting test/results. All that said, it’s fucking stupid. Just don’t shoot anything you don’t want to destroy.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're only 0.12" thick, which is more than usual trucks, and supposedly "ultra hard," but that's nowhere near what you need to stop 9mm (0.25 in hardened steel, like an AR500 plate or something)

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Ultra hard? I thought it came out that he used the cheapest, crappiest, barely-qualifies stainless steel he could find?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well yeah, he's really kinda dumb, except that he can apparently pick the right thing to bet on sometimes. But he doesn't know what he's talking about usually. Yes, I'm aware people he pays lots of money to who work for his companies claim he's a savant, but then why has literally no one else heard him ever sound of even average intelligence

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's funny, the AI slop answer for "steel to stop 9mm" claims 3mm of mild steel will do it. It absolutely will not. Go watch banana ballistics YT, he's an engaging dufus who literally does nothing but shoot various things with various calibers.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That one guy who shot a cybertruck with a tommy gun - it was .22 caliber, and he was shooting half-powder rounds with soft-cast lead bullets. The kind of shit that ricochets off drywall.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did he think it worked like the Magic Underwear?

2 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 4

To be fair, the company he bought it from promised it would be bullet proof.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Wait a minute, are you saying my body armor made of empty Coke cans is no good?

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's not at all what I'm saying, but it's probably a fair assessment

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He believed Musk when Musk said it would be bulletproof.

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Riiiight, I'd forgotten he said that. It's mind-boggling that anyone can believe a word that comes out of that twat's mouth..

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In all fairness, it takes a special kind of idiot to spend like $100k on a driveable dumpster whose warranty is voided by a slight breeze made by a company that only turns a profit by committing mass fraud.

2 months ago | Likes 697 Dislikes 2

And then an even more special kind of idiot to fucking SHOOT it.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"A special kind of idiot"... We call them Americans.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Fun fact, the Cybertruck is over 10x more likely to cause a fire related fatality than the infamous Ford Pinto by any measure (total, per 100k units sold, per 100,000 miles, you name it)

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Someone call Ralph Nader!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's also killed way more people which is kind of impressive given how few cyber trucks there are.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean the 1st time I saw this video they said he is a pornstar

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the majority of tesla profit is from selling carbon credits.

2 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

...The original post said mass fraud, yeah...?

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

selling carbon credits isnt fraud.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 11

Not legal fraud, but definitely environmental fraud.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It absolutely is when you're lying about your "avoided emissions" to get extra credits out of thin air to sell, which Tesla absolutely is doing. https://carboncredits.com/teslas-avoided-emissions-are-up-to-49-overstated-a-study-claims/

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

(this is, of course, not even touching on the MASSIVE amounts of greenwashing that go on in the entire carbon credits industry, which basically exists to exchange "good environmental deeds" that may or may not have actually happened for permission for companies to be as awful as they want, a really shitty design to begin with that exists solely because no major governments care enough to actually put in a carbon tax)

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Surprisingly the impact didn't knock the double sided scotch tape off.

2 months ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 1

Maybe the bullet is stuck in there and is holding the panel on more securely now.

2 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Ahhh, yeah. If it hit where there was a mounting point for the tape, then the metal rolling in would serve to lodge it in place. Excellent observation, and quite elementary

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Everyone who owns one should do this now. Quite the discovery!

Aww, we hurt someone's feelings.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I literally wrote off the ENTIRE Tesla company, when I found out their wondrous Car Design used Unrated, Ungraded, UN-fuckin-INSPECTED Cast fuckin Aluminum for Frame and Subframe parts. Cast Aluminum is one of the cheapest and lowest quality metals in ALL Metallurgy. Imagine your or your kid's bicycle was made of CAST fuckin ALUMINUM; would you or your kid even try to ride it?

2 months ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

What if you put mercury on it

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to work on AMF 82-70 automatic pinspotters. Some of the major components were cast aluminum and broke constantly. It sucked, especially the pin cups.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, I certainly didn't know anything about cast aluminium but now I hate it. Fuck you, cast aluminium.

2 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

If you need another reason to hate it, know that the absolute cheapest and shittiest pots and pans are made out of it. Thermal qualities are dogshit, it doesn't sear well. It's too soft, metal implements scrape and gouge it over time, putting microparticles of aluminum in the food cooked on it. It warps and distorts with repeated use. It is reactive with acidic ingredients and fucks them up. Just real fucking garbage.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I have heard multiple times from friends and family about how they used aluminum pans on the stove (not even cast aluminum) and they melted holes through the pan.
And don't get me started on the ones they brought camping. They chose lightweight pans for backpacking, brought home lumps of scrap.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have NEVER used Aluminum, and no one in my family has ever used it for ANYTHING Culinary. Fuckin even my huge moonshine still pots are stainless steel. I only use good cast iron, stainless steel, stainless steel with a thick copper bottom, or high carbon steel. Aluminum burns and scratches and flakes way too easy; plus high aluminum in your blood causes health issues like respiratory problems, neurological effects (has been cited for Alzheimer's symptoms), and bone diseases, including cancer.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lotus used a Glued Aluminum Frame or Chassis for their Lotus Elise. They used a high-end Aircraft Grade Aluminum, and they ran tests to show, it was a stronger construct than the equivalent in bolted/welded Al or Steel (as far as the strength they used an Al grade that was like Billeted through forging and/or extrusion and/or shot-peening it which makes it significantly heavier but a lot stronger. I digress, though, about the only thing for which cast Al is good is making radiators/heat sinks.

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Not sure I'm understanding, but you're talking about a different material (same aluminium but treated differently) than that which is used in the cars, right?

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, very different in processing. What happens with metal, is a lot of its qualities comes from how it's processed. Good Aluminum, that's been forged, and/or physically compressed, becomes very strong and is still light for a metal. Shit like that gets named and rated as "Aircraft Grade Aluminum," which gets used for like plane frames, spaceships and things like race cars. While untreated/unprocessed Cast Aluminum is just garbage, that really shouldn't be used as any kind of vehicle material.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

At least one Incel Camino has cracked its frame simply by driving over a pothole at city-legal speeds.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's one of the names I like too, along with Swastikkkar, and the other appropriate nicknames, but I HAD a 71 El Camino SS 396. Fuckin Steel, Unibody, A-Frame. Sure the rear had to be narrowed, re-suspended, with Slicks, and/or weighed down, after the Blower addition, otherwise it was more squirely than the 90s 5.0 Mustangs running NO2, but I miss my El Canmino, the thing was a fuckin monster. LOL!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Swastikkkar is the brand, the model is Wankerpanzer

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually, fuck the cute names, the thing's just literally a Death Dolley. -__-

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who owns firearms and has shot them at various items over the years. The movies have lied to you. Refrigerators, storage containers, bathtubs, car doors, etc. and combinations of any or all similar items are spectacularly not bulletproof. Guns are very very good at their designed purpose. Punching holes in things. This idiots lack of training in that fact should preclude him from owning a firearm.

2 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

About the only thing in a vehicle that will stop a handgun round is an engine block. It might stop a rifle round. But not an armored rifle round.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Further evidenced by his tossing the firearm on the ground. It SHOULDN'T just go off and kill somebody, but you never need to know if that could happen.

2 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

To be fair some of that sterns from when the refrigerator was made out of lead 1930-1950 and the best thing on the market was a 1911 whit lower power bullet (or what it now was that was going on whit bullets from ww1 to ww2)

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This.

You hide behind a car because it makes you harder to see and target, not because it's bulletproof. Although honestly your best bet is usually to run away as fast as you can - distance is by far your best defense.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

DID THIS IDIOT NOT SEE THE ON STAGE DEMONSTRATION? You know it traveled far into the vehicle and must have caused a lot of damage. Imagine if it hit the battery which is considered hazardous material.

2 months ago | Likes 135 Dislikes 2

Seriously. How did anybody not see that and think "Wow. They're seriously trying to hawk this hot garbage? No thank you."

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The thing that gets me is the side panels are bullet resistant. But he shot from the rear. If you have felt a cybertruck, the sides are bulky, heavy, Like a fridge. The trunk is clearly made from a different grade metal. Wouldn't surprise me if that bullet is in the engine

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah the first responder manual for Tesla cars (which are freely available) is terrifying.. basically "assume it's all electrified and will kill you if any part of the vehicle is damaged in any way"

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Then, if everyone outside the car is OK, just leave it alone. If it's endangering people outside the car, bulldoze it to a clear space and let it do its thing.

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Better than getting zapped

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Curious where the rest of the video is, it likely would have taken a minute or two for the battery or wiring to overheat and fail catastrophicly if the bullet struck or grazed crucial components.

2 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Probably used their CAD files to see where they could shoot without doing that.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 17

For those downvoting, this is a reply about the stage demonstration video, not the moron in this video.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Then you should've made that clear...

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Learn how a reply thread works. Context on my reply, context on theirs, etc.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No he fucking didn't, are you fucking high? He took a gun and shot his car with it. He bought a fucken Cybertruck in the first place.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

??? What are you talking about? This was a reply about the stage video demonstration, not about the moron in this video. It's best you don't read just a message but rather what it is replying to.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Convenient you didn't bother distinguishing that beforehand. Even then, the demo went dogshit poorly, so no, I don't even believe they checked with the CAD files then.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

EV systems are extraordinarily well protected. Fuses etc. prevent a vast majority of the things you described. Possible? Sure. Unlikely? Very much so.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's assuming the Cybertruck is designed/built properly.

Which seems like a pretty big leap to make.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It's a stupid vehicle IMHO and looks daft but I don't think the actual engineers bothered to intentionally develop a new enshittified power system just for the shits and giggles.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The amount of cyber trucks that have just gone up in flames leads me to believe they just might have done it for the shiggles...

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't know about deliberately making it bad, but given the number of corners they cut with the construction of the Cyber Truck I really wouldn't be surprised if the power system and its included safety mechanisms were made of poorly assembled cheap parts with little to no proper quality control going on.
