Existential crisis time?

I don’t know if existential is the right word. It’s Christmas time. I have several nice presents wrapped for my partner. It’s all cozy and warm and nice. I’ve been playing a lot of video games and watching tv and hanging out with my cats. But my mood is more anti-jolly. There’s a part of my brain that is just ‘Christmas is a commercialized holiday and how will having this stuff really enhance our lives and what's the point of everything'. I feel like I’m wasting my life in some ways but aren’t we all supposed to strive to enjoy ourselves? What’s wrong with relaxing and having fun?

I always have a hard time around Christmas. I’m not putting my feelings into words properly. I don’t even know exactly what I’m feeling. I just want to scream into the void and Imgur is my void of choice tonight. If you’ve bothered to read this far just leave some funny reaction gifs or cute cat photos in the comments please.

I have this feeling often at this time of year. Halloween is my fave holiday, and often the ennui at Christmas hits big-time.

Almost everything is a commercialized holliday or any other event. But that doesn't mean you can't make your own great times.

Focus on what makes any type of day good for you and your partner. And all the pets.
