Yo avaiation nerds. Why is the runway not flat? #1 you can see a slope, and I’ve noticed it in other videos too.

Runways should crown or slope for drainage. Elevation changes can aid in take offs if building longer isn’t possible.

They do their best with what they got. There’s literally a runway that’s just a couple hundred feet and a drop off a cliff.

I’ve seen one in a mountain range that is even shorter, so they had to curve it up and hope you get enough air.
