The Partial Hospitalization Program I was in was nothing short of lifesaving. I would not be where I am right now without the work of the clinicians and the support of my peers. There was nothing more for me to learn/do in the program. Today I’m in a better place mentally than at any time that I can remember. Still, returning to work for the first time since last October has me feeling anxious and, at times, downright scared. Work has always been one of the biggest triggers for my anxiety and depression. And while I’ve learned a lot of great ways to cope with my triggers, I’m worried that leaving the PHP bubble and returning to the real world will result in me spiraling back into deep depression and never ending anxiety, which will in turn lead to the same behaviors that almost cost me my family and my life. Right now I could use some words of encouragement and maybe some things to make me smile.

Was going to make a programming joke, but that would be in poor taste upon further reading.

You know some of your triggers, now it's time to set some boundaries. You can do this. You are more important than your job

Thank you for the kind and powerful words. It’s good to be reminded about my ability to set boundaries.
