So the uber rich will eventually consider one of these instead of a live-in immigrant they are keeping locked up and their passport so they can't leave?
Does a crappy job of it. But soon it will get better and better. Eventually the laundry-folding robot will be so good and fast at folding laundry that it will run out of laundry to fold. Until it decides to start folding up laundry while people are still wearing the clothes. Then we all will be folded. Neatly and efficiently. And placed in a pile.
Yeah I know they're different companies. But, again, I'm skeptical given the overpromises in the past by most out there. And obviously, this is just rich people stuff, we won't all get a robot to do our laundry for us. The robots cost way more than paying someone to do it for you. I mean, neat maybe, but It's a like a concept car.
That is a Fallacious assumption. People often need a car to travel and do work. And given the economics of today, many find that cost an uphill battle. $10k would be a big part of most people's budgets. It's like having to pay another rent or buy a car again to avoid small chores. Americans increasingly cannot afford a $400 emergency expense, much less spend on fancy shit. https://fortune.com/2023/05/23/inflation-economy-consumer-finances-americans-cant-cover-emergency-expense-federal-reserve/
Don't get me wrong. I would love to have automation handle the mindless chores. But in our hyper capitalist economy today, we should be thinking a bit more realistically when companies show stuff off. Especially if some are looking for investments.

I can do a crappy job in half the time of that robot.

Cool. Now give it a fitted sheet and see if its processor doesn't explode.

We have to start practicing gaslighting robots to make them get confused and break their brains.

Also. I'm very doubtful of these claims as we saw Telsa just had the robots being run by people behind the scenes. More fleecing.

Completely different company. Figure Robotics has been autonomous and completely transparent from the start.

They're going to sell this robot for less than 10k. If almost everyone can have a car, then almost everyone can have a robot.
