Hey Imgur, I made a a thing!

To be more accurate I made this for my Discord Community; as I do like to make what I feel to be humorous images which best illustrate the things I like about Final Fantasy XIV. And you might look at this image and come to the conclusion that I hate Player-versus-Player combat in the game; but in truth I adore it.

They've come a long way and have genuinely made something fun and engaging. You could even call this FANART! And I haven't done much of that!

For those who have played FFXIV PVP -- you can likely look at this image and just 'know' what it all means. Nevertheless, allow me to break down what is being illustrated here for those who haven't played.

FOREGROUND: The piggy! A player has been Polymorphed into a Piggy by a White Mage; and generally THIS is what they are feeling in that very instant. Because even though the transformation lasts 2 seconds; 2 seconds it all it takes to die. They are absolutely defenseless; all they can do is just run away -- IF they can that is.

I felt this was a very good representation of how most players feel about PVP. It scares them; it confuses them; it frustrates them; and it makes them just want to run away. And I understand that, which is why I made this image to advertise my PVP training program.

MID-GROUND: LEFT -- The Dark Knight; which is a class players can become. This is a tank role, which means they are extremely durable, hard to kill, and absolutely designed to engage large crowds to initiate combat or to form defensive lines. The Dark Knight is exceptionally dangerous as they are capable of drawing in upwards of 20 players into a single solitary spot and LOCKING them down for a second or two.

You can immediately gauge how this can be dangerous. As this means their team can quickly lay down the hurt with lots of very power Area-of-Effect Abilities on that spot. And this is exactly what happens on the regular. One could argue that it's actually kind of broken too, but it's not impossible to overcome.

There actually exists a solid counter for it, but only very experienced players are aware of the counter and know how to use it. But since the majority of PVP players are just random people who don't REALLY wanna be there in the first place -- then you can also guess that the counter is RARELY utilized; which, makes the Dark Knight much more threatening as a result of its absence.

MID-GROUND: RIGHT -- The White Mage; they have one of the most devastatingly cruel OFFENSIVE attacks in PVP. It also has the second LONGEST range too. It's a huge laser they can fire with a very wide stun radius and does lots of damage. It can lock down people for a second and leave them vulnerable to additional attacks of similar damage and spread. They pair well with Dark Knights or anyone else you can hit a large number of people with a single ability.

They are not as feared as Dark Knights, but they are still worthy of a very identifiable old meme.

BACKGROUND: FAR RIGHT -- Bahamut; which is an ultimate Limit Break spell cast by Summoners in PVP. It's one of two they can use, but this is one most commonly seen in Frontline. And they are seldom alone. One Bahamut cannot drop a whole team of people, but two, three, FOUR!? Well -- that's a different story. They are extremely common, and the instant you see that big blue dragon appear you know the hurt is coming and coming FAST.

WOLF MARKS: The currency you get in PVP. You only cap at 20,000 and can get upwards of 1500 per match (if you win, you get less for losses 750 at the lowest end). But still you rack up points very quickly. And if you're not keen on how to spend them, you tend to get them far faster than you expect. And worse there isn't much to really spend them on!

It takes a while to convert them into anything useful. Since it takes a while, some people just neglect to do it.

Why all the downvotes? Did I miss something? I just trying to share something I'm proud of. And I've been recently trying to get back into art. I was hoping for some nice feedback at least. :(

Video game posts rarely do well, bit much tldr for me but seems ok. I wouldn't overthink points on this. If you need to explain an image then you got the wrong audience that's all the DV's are methinks. You gotta do what we all gotta do, and that's charge on with what makes you happy.

The toxic creeps who ran off JoeCat?

Big game; big community. There are toxic players most certainly; but you shouldn't hold the entire community accountable. I have to deal with lots of toxic players myself, but I make stuff like this to try and keep a chipper mood. Toxicity is everywhere on the internet, and I was hoping to not have to deal any from Imgur.
