Finding my way. There is always a silver lining.

The 7 day hump of sobriety was always the hardest to get over. Then I woke up with a sore throat from hell and could barely talk. I am vaccinated and boosted, so I convinced myself it was just a bad cold. I had to isolate and get tested anyway due to work protocols. I ended up positive. My symptoms didn't get any worse, thank god. I still worked from home, starting reading a book, and studying for a professional cert.

I stopped craving wine, liquor, and beer. I don't crave a drink at all now and feel almost symptom free.

BUT I also started S.M.A.R.T. on day 1 which was another key step. If you need help with any addiction, check it out. It os a great alternate or supplement to AA and NA.

Stay safe everyone. Even if vaccinated, be careful, wear a mask, and be cautious.

Also, find what sparks you in life and engage in any little or big thing that drives you. The alcohol or drug of choice only douses that the flame that burns inside of you. Stay sober. If you need to reach out to someone, do it.
