? My first game spreads its wings on Kickstarter, hoot!

Today I launched my first major game on Kickstarter.
I've been working solo on Down Ward for a few years now, and regularly updating a free version. The game follows Gable, a little owl, exploring her way through overgrown ruins.

I wanted to make a 2D game where you play as a bird, but I really wanted the flight to feel like bird flight, instead of just press "up to go up."
I ended up creating momentum based flight physics, so Gable can maintain lift, as long as she has forward air speed.

The free version already has a bunch of levels. I've built in multiple speedrun modes, and a variety of stats for devising challenge runs. You can see your total times, air time, ground time, distance traveled, flown, walked, and a bunch of other stuff.

Ever since I saw the charming strangeness of "minimum number of jump" runs and other interesting self-imposed rules in the speedrunning community, I wanted to add in a way to make tracking that kind of stuff practical in my game. :)

Not especially important, but I also created a "look" mode, in which Gable becomes an extra owly owl. Anyway, Down Ward is still in development, but I always appreciate feedback, and I'd love to hear your thoughts or opinions. :)
