Mostly finished first - I still have a tiny bit of sanding to do and another coat or two of finish. I'm really digging the grain in the walnut, and more importantly so is my wife

Here you can see I was working on sanding the dowel joints and feet a little bit to level it

All folded up!

I've been on a kick of using General Finishes Arm-R-Seal lately. I'm impressed with how well it's held up over time on some other projects

I keep hearing that stuff is great when you need proper protection on wood, I'll have to pick some up eventually!

I like it because it's thinned enough it soaks into the wood and doesn't give a filmy finish like poly does

Agreed. I'm not a huge fan of poly & films. Been pretty happy with Danish Oil & Rubio Monocoat. With the latter, a little goes a long way.
