Fossil Clam with either coral, or some mysterious structure that is preserved inside?

I suspect those may be brachiopods rather than clams. Could be part of the support for the lophophore. Where is this from?

Its located in rock dating to the Paleozoic era, I looked it up, and they are most likely brachiopods, Thanks for helping me find out this!

It's an easy mistake to make! Brachiopods and bivalves can look very similar.

Do you have any other angles on that one? Most brachiopods can't burrow...lingulids are the exception.
