I found some fossilized shells at Cap Blanc Nez, France. When I chipped off a part of the stone, I found some kind of fossilized pattern. Is there anyone that has an idea what this may be?
A picture of the two halves with the unidentified pattern. Any suggestions?
Coin for scale. The fossil got some damage by splitting it open.
