Imgur said to post our souvenirs/trinkets so here is mine!
This is a fossil I found along the edge of an old canal. I was with my family looking for rocks to skip and it was just lying there. It was a pretty cool moment!
The impressions look to be of some type of shell, maybe a mollusk type creature?

I also have this much nicer fossilized sand dollar I received as a gift! Not as much emotional attachment because I didn't just find it among a bunch of rocks, but still cool!

That first one has brachiopod shells imprinted. They're almost exactly like clams, but whereas clams are oriented in an up and down

...direction, brachiopods were oriented side to side. They were completely unrelated.
