So I've been working a new job the past 5 months after I graduated, and last week I looked down and found one of these beauties

These stones are fossilized sea urchins.
These has arrived with the gravel we use to fill in holes in the road at work, but can also be found scattered in the fields.

Mind you that I live 40 kilometers from the nearest sea in Denmark, so to be able to find these in my backyard soil is also kinda exciting.

Most of the de bad boys are around 65+ million years old. In Denmark we also call these fossils, "torden sten" which directly translates to "thunder rocks"

People used to think that these rocks were the result of a lightnings trike, and would protect the carrier of one of these stones from getting struck by lightning, as "lightning will never strike the same place twice"
