Honest question, what makes one better than another?

Blowback: Cheap, but will get very heavy when build for stronger cartridges.
Recoil: Allow light weight construction even for stronger cartridges but have accuracy problem because of the moving barrel.
Blowforward: Very compact, but suffers from extreme feld recoil because of forward moving masses (barrel and bullet).
Gas: Best compromise, suitable for high power cartridges, medium cost, medium accuracy and reliable.
