Our game is free to try this week! En garde, scoundrels!

Jun 14, 2022 9:48 AM

Our game is a science fiction roguelike adventure, if it was made by a storyteller from medieval times. So instead of laser battles, you have swordfights with other ships! There’s also multiple-choice story encounters, resource management, and Moebius-inspired character art.

I keep seeing "rogue like" used to describe games. Makes me wonder if people ever actually played rogue. Looks good tho.

Language evolves, the Berlin definition doesn't hold anymore. It's really weird that the genre name is a game it doesn't match anymore

Just means insane learning curve?

Not really. Random levels + progress resets (at least partially) with every try

Could be, I was thinking random levels

It's called Fabular: Once Upon a Spacetime! You can pick it up the demo for free on Steam: steam.pm/app/645720!

In the future, free is... Not a demo. That's acting in bad faith.

Title states "free to try", which is a fitting description for demo

That's not what it said when I wrote the comment.
