GameDev Twitter is ridiculous

Hi All, I am in a ranty mood, an know that at least on imgur one can speak the truth, so here we are xd
Up until around 1,5 years ago, or something like that, twitter was the go to platform for indie game devs to share stuff about their craft and it worked pretty well, one would actually reach the right audience back then and build interest for their games.

However she is gonna be a variant of the crazed chicken enemy... just chonkier.

The game dev comunity, to try to stay afloat and still reach some people, has devolved into a madmax-esque hellhole. Back in the days there was #indiedevhour (on wednesday) and #screenshotsaturday - 2 weekly hashtags to mass spam on those days of the week and everyone was on board with the spam.
Now there is a hashtag for every hecking day of the week

I don't remember the thursday one but I am pretty sure there was one too...

In my humble opinion it's not only ridiculous but also kinda sad...
BTW tweets with those hashtags don't even reach a substantial audience, so its just a bunch of gamedevs tweeting at eachother.

Before I end this post, just a short comment on the images here, they are snapshots from the game I am working on (and hope to publish someday) - a narrative action adventure game about a lost sheeps inner journey to find out what 'home' really means for her. It's called Apricot's Adventure (I somtimes spell it Apricots, to make it easier to google in the long run don't come at me)
