Even the ones that are smart enough to say the right things, you know they are lying and will immediately do whatever they promised not to. The Supreme Court did it with Roe v Wade. They don't believe in truth, truth is a handicap, they will say whatever they have to in the moment to gain an advantage.

Might be a good time to (re)watch the show (or read the book) The Man in the High Castle. It does a good job of illustrating what life is like in an unfree society, how tough it is to be part of the resistance, but how worthwhile it is, too. Either way, it's a great watch/read.

Man, I just rewatched Machete, and I couldn't believe how good it relates to the Border nowadays.

Loved that show. Wife couldn’t get into it. She needs the plot line NOW and can’t wait a couple of episodes. Same with Mrs Maisel. I watched 3 seasons before I even told her about it. She watched it…ok. It’s awesome. Now it’s her favourite show.

Man in the high castle started out great, and had an absolute shite ending. The TV series that is.

The final season could have been better, but the other 3 seasons were pretty solid.

I absolutely loved it at first. Such a good premise really. Ah well

I'm watching the handmaid's tale for the first time...man I picked a bad time to watch it.

Or the best time... but it's not escapism, that's for sure...

You can still watch it, so do it before it's against free speech and democracy

Just hit season 1. That hanging theatre they pulled off in episode 1 was dumb....your not gonna kill all of the fertile women, one to make a point sure....bit not like 20 lol.

Handmaids tale did it better. Ending/ “the why” of The Man in the High Castle is borderline nonsensical.

But the RapepubliKKKans do really want the whole world of the Handmaid's Tale, while they might object to some things in the world of the Man in the High Castle.

Yeah, Handsmaid's Tale is good, too. Ending of High Castle is controversial, but it doesn't diminish the quality of the rest of the show (in my eyes). I enjoyed the journey, regardless of the destination.

True. Seems when they can’t figure out what to do the go all Fonzie and jump the shark. Like Dark Angel. Last season of it was like WTF just happened and why is it going this direction?
