You should definitely use your PTO, *especially* if your job is scummy and it "expires" (as though PTO was a can of peaches instead of a promise to let you not spend time at work). That being said, a certain amount of saving up does get you a "bigger teddy bear" in that you can take a longer vacation... also assuming your work approves of your time off.
Linkedin is unhinged right now. All of the C-Suite goblins are preaching about the moral breakdown of society when someone can murder someone in broad daylight. No one can say anything back without career suicide, but there are so many unemployed people right now that are just letting fly. It's crazy.
