It's class warfare in the rich stealing from the poor, but it also has the repression of the poor built in by increased ice funding

What would really be out of sight is winning a veto-proof majority in the mid-terms, but I'm afraid it's precisely that, i.e., out of sight.

Not just just an increase in military spending to "secure the border"; much more frighteningly, a massive increase in funding for ICE. It doesn't matter if you're a citizen -- criticize Israel, and you're in trouble. Resist ICE, and you're in trouble. They'll try to find a way to make you "not a citizen" and removable to whatever hellhole they choose.

Adding to this, I've seen $45 billion mentioned here and there as the amount. No. It's $175 billion. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ice-175-billion-windfall-trump-103059036.html $45 billion is just the amount that was earmarked for building concentration camps.

Making ICE bigger than some militaries, taking the national guard to become a permanent assistant agency to ICE, offering $42,000 a year bonus to all ICE staff.

Yeah this is all sounding very familiar.

For the record: Yes, the Waffen-SS generally received higher pay than the Wehrmacht Army. This was part of a broader effort by the Nazi regime to incentivize membership and loyalty to the SS. And some of the armed forces did become secondary to the Wafflen SS.

I don't see much of a difference here.

I'm pretty sure the next person to take a shot at Trump won't be a paid actor this time, but one of his own followers whose grandmother is going to die because Trump and his rich friends need all the money so they can sit on it and say they have all the money.

Nah, they voted for him knowing it would speed up their inheritance. Stupidity can only account for so much before malice takes over.

If their parents are on Medicare... it's doubtful they are getting an inheritance.

Why pay taxes if they are just going to steal your money?

3 weeks ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

The Gestapo is coming for you anyway. Why give them more?

If you stop paying taxes, they will find other ways to extract wealth. Taxes, at the very least, mean that infrastructure that enables people to earn taxable income continue to exist. In nations where people pay no taxes, the government has no motivation to fund any public service at all. No hospitals, no water treatment, no roads, no public education, no electric grid, etc

So we are getting the consequences of not paying taxes while still paying taxes. Cool.

If you think that's true, you have either a very overactive imagination or no imagination at all.

There's a decent chance you only survived your birth because of hospitals and the availability of medicine. There's a decent chance you'd have died some time after that if you didn't have treated water to drink and wash. You're able to write this message because you've got electricity and an education that taught you how to read and write.

America's infrastructure might be crumbling and underfunded, but you'd notice if it was gone. Believe me.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but what im saying is it's being eroded, not that it's gone. The consequences have already begun is all, and we are still paying taxes.
