Dear Imgur, please help. A really good guy, friend of mine, who has ptsd himself, confided to me that they just found out that his toddler is suspected of being on the autism spectrum and is going in for testing. He confides in me because I can usually offer some valuable advice. My own niece is partially as well, but I have no resources to offer. Please post any links to helpful information, or any good advice I can offer my friend to help him find the way. Thank you!!!

I’m not freaking out, he is because of job stress. Was hoping for resources, but if no I can always be there to soundboard off. Doing that now.

It really depends on what sort of issues she’s presenting with. ASD is a huge spectrum and there is no real one size fits all approach. Some kids have more sensory issues, some social, some rigidity, some parts of all and more.
