Hey imgur, I’ve been working on this for the last few hours and have come to a point that google searches are no longer helping so I turn to you, maybe a friendly electrician will see my post.
A few heaters in my house stopped working so I investigated my fuse box, but as you can see my fuse set up is very old so finding info on it has been difficult. I’ve never done anything like this before but have got most things working now in the house. I replaced a couple old fuses with new ones (with what I think is the right type) but now one light fixture doesn’t work. I have confirmed all my fuses are working because every plug, heater and light in my house works except for my one bedroom light. The fuse panel seems to indicate that the #4 fuse on the right powers the living room plugs, hall bathroom and bedroom lights. It seems to be correct cause these stop working when I take the fuse out, meaning also that the fuse is working. However the bedroom light isn’t working. It was working before I started messing around with these and all other power sources in the room are working. I have also confirmed the light bulb works by putting into another lamp, and I have tried another bulb which I know to be working in the light that isn’t, and it didn’t, so i assume it has to be a problem with one of my fuses because it worked this morning before I changed any fuses and the bulb it’s self is working fine. If anyone had any helpful advice it would be appreciated.

This is the panel which tells what fuse works what power source, like I said everything on the list works except the bedroom light it doesn’t have its own fuse section so I don’t know how that’s possible. Thanks in advance for any help imgur, try to use small words cause this is the first electrical work I’ve ever done in my life

Not an electrician. But your right; your wiring is old as sin. In the insurance game you have a wicked hazard on your hands brudder.

Hello I work in IT. Are you sure the lamp is on? Have you tried turning it off and on? ... that's all I've got. Sorry.

*Any* help? How about this:

Stop and ask yourself how safe cars from the 1940s were compared to now. Then think about how old this panel is. Replace it

It is possible that the switch to the light failed & was the cause of the fuse failure.Switches are cheap!Try replacing it first.

Thanks for the reply, the light & switch in question was working before I changed any fuses, so that seems unlikely unless I misunderstood?

Have you tried the lamp in other rooms to make sure it is working?

"Type TC," has even more time-delay; it is used mostly for industrial equipment." Not sure you want TC fuses for your home. 1/2

You should look for Type S replacement fuses that can be reset. They should be available at big box retailers. Safer than wrong fuse type.

Have you done any construction since the last time you used the heaters?
