Most comics are more setup as something similar to a series like classic TNG; you create a series of characters and put them in various situations to resolve with only mild arc movement. A 'full' arc would be more a miniseries than anything else. Otherwise, it's too dense for normal movies.

Too many characters, most get minimum development, mostly it ends up being the doctor doom movie.
