Home Network setup to handle fiber internet speeds up to 10 gigabits

Upgrading from gigabit to over gigabit introduces some significant changes and forced me to move to some pro(sumer) hardware. Main thing that surprised me is, contrary to what everyone says, running fiber is cheaper than running high quality Cat6a and the wires are slimmer. 6 strands of single mode fiber I got (UBFCSM100) was slimmer than one Cat6a cable! Finding hardware that has the needed SPF+ ports for 10G fiber was a bit challenging, but I imagine that will only get easier with time. I think fiber is the future, even for the home.
