C:"You told me there wouldn't be any cameras" J:"And you told me you were gonna wear something NICE!?"

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

So smile will ya? While we still got something to smile about

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think I got it wrong. It's "Folks need heroes, Chief. So smile will ya, while we still got something to smile about."

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude's almost as big as Master Cheif

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Man, the new Halo looks nice.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The covenant got nothing on student loans

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can't go up on the podium to graduate because you're not wearing the right kind of shoes. But also, head right on through, Master Chief.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

You say no to a 7 foot tall genetically and cybernetically enhanced super soldier.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I just didn't show up to mine, they told us if we didn't show up to "practice" we couldn't walk. ~90% of the class didn't show up to it.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, how does he get to graduate without wearing the approved black dress shoes?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Remember that news story a month ago about the kid who almost got denied his diploma because he wore a flag on his back?

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

YES!!! such a bullshit school code...poor kid.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Or the kid who wasn't allowed to walk because he had the wrong shoes so a teacher had to give his so the kid could walk

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This is an ad, iirc

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At my high school graduation when everyone threw their hats at the end I threw a huge dildo into the crowd

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s a dick move.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That third tag thou.

4 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 4

Did he? With food?

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Poor chef Mike

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah gonna need some sauce on that one.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's what he said while cooking him.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Thou = you

Chef Mike worked far too hard for any kitchen microwave

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"What are you doing on that ship?!...Sir, finishing this fight."

4 years ago | Likes 193 Dislikes 1

Then I'll finish it three more times.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately that isn't Chief. It's Noble 6, headhunter.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Good line, but my favorite still is "To give the Covenant back their bomb"

4 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

This cave is not a natural formation

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

For a brick, he flew pretty good

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

"she said that to me once, about being a machine"

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah that one hit

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"One day you're going to land on something more stubborn that you."

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

"And I don't do bits and pieces."

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Were it so easy.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he's not just a chief anymore, he as a Master Chief

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Dr. Chief

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

its a high shool

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't pass the dress code.

4 years ago | Likes 859 Dislikes 11

Military dress is acceptable in formal situations so why not?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also the whole staff seems to be in on the gaff so again why not?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gets a religious exemption.

4 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Then you’d have to dress as a Sangheili….

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

we couldnt even throw our caps at my hs graduation

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better decline to give them their diploma and call the police (reference, if you didn't know)

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It would in mine. Mine didn't really have a dress code it just *heavily suggested* you rent a gown from them for a few hundred dollars.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Found the heretic.

4 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

Remember the kid who was turned away because he didn’t have the right shoes?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't remember any dress code that said you can't wear battle armor to graduation

4 years ago | Likes 248 Dislikes 4

Actually it did. Cap and gown mandatory.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least at the graduations I was in.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wore PJs to one of mine.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The rules don't say a dog can't play basketball either.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We had dress code under our cap and gown dress code.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's the US, battle armour is encouraged

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Except at graduations. School admins are power hungry over kids.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A lot of places force the traditional cap and gown. Its bullshit

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Well yeah, they just did all that work teaching you that you need to conform and do what your told.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Saw one video where a kid got dinged for too much white on his shoes, another where a kid had a Mexican flag as a cape. No bueno.

4 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 1

That is not good....

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm getting the vibe that this is a post-hs level graduation, which are usually more relaxed about dress codes.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cause contolling teen antics obviously means some extra-anal types have to tighten the screws to the point of absurdity...

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When I graduated HS they literally told us if we so much as stepped 1” out of line they would hold our diploma and we wouldn’t graduate.

4 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 0

We couldn't decorate our caps, our gowns had to all be the same, and the attire underneath had to be 'up to standards'. Public school, btw

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IF none of those were met, you did not receive your diploma. This was years ago too.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Here in Sweden the "get diploma" show is optional, i never went on mine, couldn't give a shit. :)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here. My sister managed to slip combat boots by them though because her gown was too long lol

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That doesn't sound legal, but neither does plenty of other things and they happen anyway, so fuck those guys.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You wouldn't graduate, or you wouldn't get to walk? How can they withhold a diploma you earned?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They threatened both. They obviously couldn’t withhold the diploma but 17 year old me didn’t know that at the time, though I suspected.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This is so weird to me. The ministry of education give you tbe diplome, not the school, so whatever happen at graduation the minist_1

4 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 1

In the US, you never receive the diploma there, they mail you it.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ministry can just send your diploma. By mail! School dosent have a saying in that if you passed!

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

In America they can (and do) withhold it, at least temporarily.

4 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

It's called a robe.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why would it even matter. If your graduating you ain't coming back...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is a made up nonsense tradition anyway

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

dress codes are generally to avoid political, religious or turf arguments.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is a ceremony to celebrate unemployment and crippling debt. it lasts a couple hours and nobody gets a mic. it should be fine.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, me and you are young to the world. Some rules are in place because they learned the hard way why they should have them.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look at that armor. He's obviously from a rich family and we all know the rich in America can do whatever the hell they want.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At my university there was a specific colour robe you had to wear for my course (biomedical science) they gave you the supplier you had (1)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To use and it cost £80 just to rent it for a few hours. I found a substitute that I could BUY for £25 and they said they wouldn't allow (2)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me to attend if I was wearing it. I didnt attend out of principle. Now I don't have the photo everyone has in their gown holding the diploma

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OH NO ITS THE END OF THE WORLD. (Assuming it doesn't actually bothers you.)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With my mental illness it was the hardest thing I've done in my life. I now work a minimum wage and have nothing to show for it (1)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The school and/or some admins were probably getting a kickback from the gown company.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah totes. Same as when I first started my lecturers told me to go and buy £400 worth of text books from Waterstones and then I found (1)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Out I can use them for free in the university library
