How to make a One-on-One chat within Microsoft Teams

The *CHAT_tab* window is not design to start a new conversion. You must pass by the *TEAMS_tab* windows [screenshut_1], then click on the *New chat* button [screenshut_2] and search for your teammate name in the navbar [screenshut_3]. From there, once you started a conversation with a contact, the *CHAT_tab* is where the #logs (history) of your conversation will be accessible to you.

_USER EXPERIENCE: TEAMS vs SLACK_

#TEAMS's user experience (#ux) differs from #SLACK for direct messaging. Here, *TEAMS_tab* has been designed as a kind of « Twitter wall » where all messages are visible by ... all team members. So it is very easy to exchange conversations with everyone.

But, when compared to Slack's UX, if you want to do a One-on-One conversation with only one of your registered #teammate, without noticing it at first, after clicking on the *New chat* button [screenshut_2], you will be switch to the *CHAT_tab* window (visible in the left tab menu). This is the window where chatting, audio and/or video calling and screen sharing occurs. All these options are available as rounded buttons in the upper right location of your contact's navbar.

For (logically) speeding-up it's usage, audio calls has it's own window that you access from the *CALLS_tab* menu, located under the *CALENDAR_tab*.
