It was well after college that I learned there was strategy to Minesweeper. I just knew it was a game and would click randomly until I lost, and thought it was a pointless game.

so no one in my house knew how to play minesweeper, so as a little kid I would open it up. I did wonder what the numbers were for but did not have the reasoning skills at the time to realize the numbers meant anything.
