How Wicks Work

Jul 25, 2022 8:00 PM

The wick is absorbent and sucks the liquid wax into the wick and upward into the flame. Once the liquid wax gets hot enough it turns into a gas. The gas then reacts with the oxygen from the air and is burned, creating the flame. The gas linking the wick to the lighter can carry the flame to the wick.
