Kiddo has the mouth part of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. It’s a highly transmissible virus that can take up to 2 weeks to no be contagious.
2 weeks of not going anywhere. F*ck.
Channeling my competitive nature to stick it out so that my anti-mask family don’t have anything to throw in my face.
Also, spreading diseases is so 2020.

Stay healthy, cause fuck em that's why.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

why are you still in contact with those conspiracy cunts? fuck em.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I completely understand, spent two weeks this year in quarantine with HFM and another two with COVID (even though vaxed). You’ve got this!!

Good job!

If you're only doing it to maintain the moral high ground, you never had it. If you're doing it to protect your community on the other hand

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Good action, bad reason. Losing the moral high ground should not be a reason for doing the right thing. Helping others is a better reason.

We just went through this with our toddler. Hope yours gets to feeling better soon. Goodluck

Staycation achieved.

Daughter got mouth blisters, went to dr, he said too much sugar. WTF! No. I said no this is HF&M. 1 week later. Blisters on hands and feet.

Somebody bring this person pancakes!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We appreciate you doing your part

Bravo. Thank you for not being a selfish bastard. It's nice to see people still exist that don't put convenience over a stranger's health.

YOU GOT THIS

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

best wishes, having antivaxers in the family is a damn good reason to make a stand. been doing the same about having lupus.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are doing the right thing for everyone! We did similar to keep the other kids at my toddlers school from catching RSV. It seems tiring

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you feel like the only one taking the spread of illness seriously but there are dozens of us. Dozens! Stay strong. Order in food and

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Go for walks if you can. We did a lot of leaf hunting, puddle jumping, and follow the leader outside

I got the very rare form that adults sometimes get, and lost multiple fingernails and toenails. 0/10.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah getting the lesions under the nails will do that.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hope you have a intelligent partner to help.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right there with you buddy. day 7 of RSV with a toddler. It’s fricken rough.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Teen brought RSV home from school. Shared with me. It suuuuucks!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuuuckkkk….I’m on day 10 here with RSV. Oldest passed it to the youngest a few days later and one now has an ear infection. Good luck!

I feel your pain. Wife and I had covid along with our 11 month. Was not a fun month...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's only tough while you're doing it. Once it's over it'll seem silly that it was ever hard at all. You got this

The quarantine

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The better lesson would be to show up anyway, give it to all of them, and then say "But I thought you were okays with spreading disease."

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is your child also a deer?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, more of a semi-feral goblin.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What, you're not deliberately spreading it to your pro-disease relatives out of spite? That takes courage.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You should secretly swab your child's mouth and rub it on all of the lips of your antivax families cups.

2 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 16

Yes!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

There's no nice way to say it. It's medical name is Coxsackie. My son picked it up at daycare. Then I got it from him. My doctor had never >

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The doctor’s diagnosis was Herpangina which sounds like an insult a middle schooler would come up with.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seen an adult with Coxsackie.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It seems like docs and literature say adults don't get it, but since our family had it twice this year, we hear of so many adults getting it

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think most of the parents of recent toddlers probably weren't in daycare. You can't get by on one salary now so daycare is a necessity

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would be staying home, because it's the right thing to do, not out of spite for one group, or another.

2 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 17

Me and everybody needs a motivation

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The good news is that doing good things for good reasons or spiteful reasons still gets good things done!

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I'm genuinely shocked you could read this post from all the way up there on your high horse.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Whatever floats their boat.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Why not both?

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Congratulations? Thank goodness you're not about moral superiority

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

If spite helps to bear the "stuck locked up with a toddler for 2 weeks", then good. Any little helps.

2 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 1

My friends had a toddler in 2020. They are the strongest people I know

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Spite is the most powerful motivator in the world, don't knock it til you try it

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't get it. What does your child getting sick have to do with your family member? Did they infect the kid or something?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

OP followed all the experts advice but the kid still caught an illness. If the family finds out it validates their anti mask stance.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If you have a kid in daycare all that expert advice goes right out the window. What is OP even trying to prove?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah. I've caught a couple colds recently. I've got no shame masking up and social distancing

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s really helped with allergies too

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good for you! My son got it; I got it. It totally sucked. Would be a shame if an antivaxxer family member were to get it...somehow...

2 years ago | Likes 313 Dislikes 9

Knit some blankets for them. Special blankets. Let your kid make them special.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

????? I'm dying here. That's too funny

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ah yes in the footsteps of the ancestors.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Are you advocating biological warfare?

2 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 0

Lol I don't know if they are but I sure am

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yes.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Biological warfare is already underway, see the anti vaxxers recording themselves coughing and spitting on people during covid...

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

No, antivaxxers say their diet and essential oils make them immune to disease

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's thanksgiving, so I think we can allow it.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Being Cherokee... I'll allow this....

Isn't that against the Geneva Suggestion?

2 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

Those are simply guidelines pure and simple

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bugs Bunny taught me that the Geneva Conventions were optional

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, but remember, those only apply to other countries citizens. Not ours. Heavy /s

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

/s but sadly it’s completely accurate in practice

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not a war crime if it’s against an entity that we can’t declare war against.
