I commute about 60 miles a day. The number of jackwagons using lightbars morning, noon, and night is astounding. And dangerous. I have one on my jeep, reserved for off-highway travel in the middle of the desert. Not at dusk on the highway in rush hour.

I can't see shit while driving at night, all I can see are headlights, this is a warning, I'm out there

Lighten up

( /s ) But have you considered that THEY can see better? (At least I think that's what they are thinking if they are thinking anything)
SpqrMcmlxxxvi
I actually just agree with you. The number of lighters being used for jackassery is too damn high.

It should be legal to vandalize those cars.

As a commercial trucker…yeah fuck every one of these shit bag puss-nuts who run these cheap off shore glaring 300x’s brighter than OEM headlamps and their equally over bright fog lamps and light bars!

Since we're airing grievances here I'd like to know why in sweet fuck there are so many tesla drivers that don't know the difference between the low and high beam settings. I see at least 4 of them a day, just blasting high beams down the congested roads.
dohcohv
Why can't Tesla drivers maintain speed? I understand that they accelerate quickly and can slow down quickly because of regeneration without the brake lights activating, but why? It just fucks up traffic and people using cruise control.

Answer is in your gripe...'tesla drivers'

My biggest peeve concerning lights is cars with “automatic light controllers”. They don’t always turn on the rear lights, when it is foggy or otherwise poor visibility, but not dark.
(Front lights are mandatory all day and night where I live, so they are not an issue in this case.)

60 miles ≈ 97 kilometres
joepineapplesindrag
Today I learned that it's not exactly 1.6 km to the mile. Thanks UCB!
AllTheGoodOnesWereGone
Pretty sure that would be illegal in a lot of places. California as an example.
kjwillie
Oh, it's illegal here. And yet...
dohcohv
It would require the cops to pull them over though. They aren't going to pull their friends over.
idonotthinkitownswhatyouthinkitowns
Same with fuckwits driving around with their fog lights on.
METROlD
What the fuck even are fog lights? I mean, I know what they are, but since 2002 every car Ive owned, it was just never an issue. My old Honda, I never even looked for the switch. And after that my most recent 2 cars I just leave the lights on auto all the time I dont think the fog lights even come on, or if the car even has them.
idonotthinkitownswhatyouthinkitowns
If people aren't flashing their lights at you, you're probably not driving with your fog lights on.
d3jake
Properly aimed fog lights should never shine an annoying amount of light more than 2ft or so off of the road's surface. It's more likely someone fucked up their install that just fogs being an issue.
idonotthinkitownswhatyouthinkitowns
They're designed to be low, aim long and pierce through fog. When there's no fog, they're blinding. All of them. If they're In the wet, they reflect, doubling the pain. It's literally why they're illegal in most places if there's no fog.
