It's a shame that to my knowledge the only clear official Nintendo cartridges were GBC. Surprised they never experimented with a gimmick of lights in a cartridge tied to a gameplay element. Maybe they didn't want people easily realizing how empty they are. As a kid I thought they were full of all sorts of futuristic technology.
