Not really designed for PC's that's will be used for general purpose.. this is a solution for things like ATM's, factory floor machines etc

I love my LTSB clients... theres like 2 general wkst, and 30 running LTSB for their crazy fabrication machines I'm not allowed to touch.

We use LTSB in a virtual environment for development work. Its so fast and free of bloatware. Its an actual enterprise client.

As a system admin....I have a love\hate relationship with win 10. Better security, but gawd is it stupid for updating.

Because they just have to add that amazing feature that no one uses. Or remove the old programs and install the same thing with a diff name

Right? I'm running the enterprise track for everyone and it's still awful. I miss the viruses at this point, b/c they didn't break drivers.

Time to invest in SCCM.

I almost totally agree with you, but the user base i support also just got the hang of 8.1. Have to reteach computing 101 it seems.

I showed one guy how "New Desktop" worked in task view the other day. You could actually see the gears turning before it blew his mind.

"So...it's like the google (chrome) tabs...but for my desktop..." *mind blown*

Stop using CB

Well you could if you never want to connect to the internet... Other than that most updates bring additional sec patches and throw in

Features to get some exposure and make consumers care about upgrading

I love when that's an option... I've got one site that operates like that using the LTSB. I only see them maybe 3 times a year, lol.

I'm impressed when it finds new and innovative ways to break itself. On one of our desktops the newest update actually broke the usb drivers

For me, it tries to control my PC fans, and stops the BIOS being able to read the fan speeds... Really weird.

I'm sorry, what?

All of the usb controllers just conked out. I had to hook up a ps2 kb/mouse to reload the default manufacturer drivers.
